Lull The Conqueror: Is there a trope for the inverted version mentioned in the main text (that is, where characters who should easily be able to beat a certain villain find themselves too weak to do it, because the writers need to keep the plot going longer)? I feel like I've seen it somewhere, but I can't think of the name.

Pk Mario: Holding Back the Phlebotinum, Misapplied Phlebotinum, Plot Induced Stupidity...

Caswin: Deleting this from under the DCAU Superman entries. It's not relevant to the page, and there's also some No. Just... No factor in there.

  • And then Darkseid hits him with an Agony Matrix and makes him scream like a little bitch, and he has to be saved by Luthor.

Grimace: How is this different from Let's Get Dangerous!? I kinda understand that it is, I'm just trying to grasp how.

Can we change this to the Superman Clause? The superman clause is that Clark will be as strong as he needs to be for any given story.
