Lale: "Dwarf" is singular; "dwarves" is plural.
NOT!: It can go either way
. Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs had wicks already, and it's listed as Dwarfs on Wikipedia as well.
Mr Initial Man: We can thank Tolkien for Dwarves; the original plural was dwarfs. Look in his appendices to The Lord Of The Rings.
