I have to point out that there were different Inquistions. There were the medevial inquistions, which only dealt with heretics and not other religions, and phased out int he early renaissance. There was the Roman Inquisition, which eventually became the Office of the Doctrine of the Faith. The Spanish Inquisition is separate from the Roman one, and largely served as the secret police of Spain until it was dissolved. - Gatomon41
