Working Title: Rasputinian Death: From YKTTW

Removed the Monty Python and the Holy Grail example because there's no indication the Black Knight died.

Micah: Moved the Brisco County example to Made of Iron, for the same reason. Also, cut natter:

  • This troper doesn't really see how admitting you had to resort to four methods to kill someone is supposed to help, unless you're trying to plead gross incompetence.
  • This troper applauds your ignorance of the sheer stupidity of the masses when it comes to claims of devils, souls, and secret pacts.

Anonymous Apathy: Deleted an urban legend from the "Real Life" category.

Haven: Deleted this example, because this trope is "multiple things, any one of which should be fatal", not just "two things, one of which killed him before the other." Unless the person who put it here thinks limping and pushing doors is fatal, but this isn't Lone Wolf. (My interpretation of the ending, incidentally, was that Ryuk wrote "dies of blood loss" on there since Light didn't have the jarring "dun-dun!" that everyone else got, so it's even less this trope.)

  • Light's gruesome end in Death Note has him shot repeatedly. In spite of all the blood everywhere implying some serious wounds, he still finds the strength to get up, push aside a heavy iron door, and run, er, limp for his life down several city blocks. Instead of bleeding to death he's killed off by Ryuk with the Notebook. One could argue that Light wasn't shot anywhere fatal, but still.

Shrikesnest: I think we should put it back. He gets shot four times, and the series explicitly states that he would not have died of blood loss if Ryuk hadn't done him in. It doesn't matter where you get shot. He was clearly hemorrhaging, but he only died because of the notebook. I think it fits.

When I read this article, the first thing I thought of was the unkillable Indian in The Quick And The Dead. Maybe he should be mentioned.
