• In the movie "Earth vs the Spider", quentin does this to a burglar he finds in his apartment block after injecting himself with spider DNA. something of a subversion in that it actually kills the punchee.

• I think you're thinking of a different movie.

I'm guessing the responder isn't familiar with the modern version (from a series of B-movie reimaginings for Cinemax), and the initial contributor wasn't familiar with the 1958 cheapie that it's reimagining.
