Don: So the Russian chick dies despite having an air pocket, but the American guy and his kid have more breath control than Tidus and Aquaman combined. Gotta love action films.

I watched the movie recently, and realised that the amount of cities it destroyed is wonderfully-executed. So that's why I added HSQ in the page. Then, another guy thought the seeing cities destroyed does not count. But dude, if you watched The Day After Tomorrow and Independence Day, would YOU be awed by the awesome SFX!?

Designated NPC: Pretty much anything positive anyone has to say about the movie boils down to 'but the SFX are really awesome, so there's that.' Isn't the answer obvious? We have to get someone (or someone) to digitally remove all the 'main characters' from the movies, as well as their dialogue (we won't be missing anything) and turn this thing into a historical documentary about the (epic) destruction of human life on Earth.

It would be glorious.

Beforet: Why does a film have a Troper Tales page?

Janitor: Why not? Personal anecdotes happen about movies, too.

superslinger2007: Something to point out:
  • Homage/Shout-Out: I hadn't known about this the time I saw the 2012 movie teaser in a theatre, but it has the music from The Shining teaser.

Inkki Bookman: In the context of this movie at least, the Great Flood of 2012 would prove once and for all to the survivors that the Bibical God does not exist.
