Duckluck: Would Bioware games like Jade Empire and KOTOR count as aversions?

Seven Seals: Heh. Don't forget the Fallout series, the Baldur's Gate series, Planescape: Torment, and pretty much every other modern western RPG. Some early D&D games had an interface where you could only control one party member at a time, though.

This trope only really applies to games that have a separation between overworld/dungeon or overworld/battle screen. If the game uses the same screens for navigation and combat, your party is usually available as individuals at all times.

Being X: is that your party in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?

Seth:Glad i'm not the only person who thought of that.

Being X: with that title it was just begging for that joke

WVI: Yes, well done, except THAT ALREADY WAS THE JOKE. Now I'm on fire.

Fire Walk: Moved the examples of All in a Row onto that entry. May have left it a bit messy, though.
