Notable exception: In Grand Theft Auto 3, police in line of sight would sometimes activate over running a red light. They proved less diligent in Vice City and San Andreas, however.
Andrew Leprich: I really have to dispute this. I've logged in about 100 hours into each GTA game and I have never received a wanted level for running a red light. I'm 99.9% sure that the only way to attract the attention of the cops (driving-wise) is to run over people or hit a cop car.
Viewer: I've never heard of "driving anyone over". I've heard of running them over many times, but never driving. Name change, maybe?
Tanto: No. Not important enough. I've heard it as "running over" too, but there's nothing confusing about this. It's perfectly legible.
JB_Finesse: Legible, yes. But extremely awkward. "Just Don't Run Anyone Over" reads far more smoothly.
