Iconic Marketing Campaign launched as Notable Commercial Campaigns: From YKTTW

CapnAndy: We need to figure out what "notable" means, because I'm entirely certain that not all the examples on that page qualify.

Lord TNK: No, we don't because this site has a policy of There Is No Such Thing As Notability. So this is more about famous campaigns.

Also, Notable Webcomics, or other such indexes, is actually just any Webcomic that actually exists.

MikeS: The claim that diamond engagement rings only became customary in the US after a De Beers campaign in the 40s seems to be incorrect. A search in Google Books shows that it was a custom at least twenty years earlier (e.g., "The custom of our day is for the man to present the bride to be with an engagement ring— a solitaire diamond is the usual gift." The Young Woman's Journal, January 1921, p. 656, or an entire article about purchasing a diamond engagement ring (including the usual questions about how many months salary is "right" in Printer's Ink, Oct. 2 1919, p. 53. I'll go ahead and delete it, unless there's reason to do otherwise.
