Krazeh Penguin: Why is this article have the word 'fnord' all over it?

Fluid: Counted it as vandalism and edited it out.

Ununnilium: I forget, does City Of Villains have a non-killing explanation? Presumably, defeated heroes are teleported back to Paragon, but what about the random Infected and Snakes in the Mercy Island streets?

Looney Toons: There isn't any explanation, which is why I used "apparently" for the teleportation of downed criminals in my original text for that entry.

Ununnilium: Aha. Hmmmmmm.

  • In GURPS, meanwhile, just kicks reason to the curb and says you're dead at negative five times your maximum HP. (To be fair, GURPS is also much more strict with unconsciousness, and depending on what's available in your setting, it could take a lot to revive a character from negative hit points.)
    • Mike Rosoft: Unfair criticism - in GURPS a character is in danger of falling unconscious when below 0 HP, may die at each negative full HP beyond that, with negative 5*HP meaning automatic death. (GURPS simulate unconsciousness and death realistically, or at least more realistically than other RPGs; for example, it avoids the hit point inflation.)
