Devil's Advocate: The discussion of helicopter parents and the various subtypes would, it seems to me, fit better under Knight Templar Parent than here. This trope seems to be more about the parents of adults who have established themselves as adults: have their own home, are married, possibly have children. The helicopter parent breakdown seems to apply more to either the parents of actual children or at least parents of adults who still have some actual dependence on their parents (college students and/or still living with their parents).
