Chandagnac: How exactly are "Major World Cities" defined?
Are they Global Cities? Cities that appear a lot in fiction? Or is it just for tropers to decide what to include?
Right now, this page seems to have been thrown together at random. I mean- Paris, Frankfurt, Milan and Madrid weren't listed as major world cities until I added them.
Silent Hunter: Tropers decide really. I was going to add Paris, but didn't get round to it.
And here I was thinking this was going to be that thing where they hop between cities to show the world-wide reaction to some major event.
Andrew: So this is really just any city a troper wants to add? Or do we have some kind of standard for "major?" Because if it's just up to us, I'll write up Kansas City. I won't if we're trying to restrict this, however.
Silent Hunter: Generally, there should be limits. I'd say one or more of the following criteria:
- Population in excess of 1 million
- Capital city of a country of medium or high global significance
- Major media producing centre
Deux Hero:US citys should have the state listed as well.
