BT The P: His name is Indigo Montoya, the D is hard to hear because of his exaggerated accent.

Dark Sasami: No it isn't. Read the book by William Goldman.

Looney Toons: Dark Sasami is quite correct. "Inigo" is a Spanish given name; "indigo" is the color of unfaded jeans. I was a fan of the book some years before the movie ever came out, and the text does not lie. Just in case you want a little more evidence, though, here is the IMDB page for the movie; note the spelling, which is taken from the film's credits. Googling on "inigo" will also reveal a number of individuals who do not have the color of blue jeans as their first name, including Australian meteorologist Inigo Owen Jones.

BT The P: Never mind, then. I don't remember why I thought it was the other.

Frau Blucher: There seems to be significant crossover between this trope and Normally, I Would Be Dead Now. In fact, they're quite close to being the same trope in my opinion - My Name Is Inigo Montoya is just a little more specific. I've inserted references to the other trope in both pages.

Pastafarian: The OOTS example doesn't really work; the villain hasn't been injured, he just does a Princess Bride homage. It's really just You Killed My Father.

Boobah: Pulled the second Dial M for Monkey example, since it was the same incident and less succinct.

Fanra: Someone else removed the image from the trope page. It was referenced in "Not Making This Up" Disclaimer. I don't want to start an Edit War, so I'm just gonna put the link to it here just so we know what it was, once the page history drops it:
