Antigone: Would "Grimjack" fit here as a trope reversal? The title character of the comic dies and goes to Heaven, but bugs out on it to save a friend. After that, he can't go back to Heaven but can't go to Hell either (because he was found worthy of Heaven), so he's stuck in a reincarnation loop.
Daibhid C: Does anyone remember what actually happens to Roland Kingworthy in Old Harrys Game? I know he fails to take over Hell, because Satan's still in charge in the following season, but I missed the final episode of that season.
