From YKTTW

Umptyscope: Actually the innkeeper didn't brush off the time traveler, and the inn made a ton of money. The girls ended up getting married off to occasional patrons, so it was hard to keep employees.

Licky Lindsay: IIRC Merlin did more than predict the future in The Sword in the Stone, he actually traveled through time. Or am I remembering a different movie?

Zeta: No, he has backwards memory - so he remembers what's in the future but not in the past. Morgan La Fey was shown traveling through time, though - she had memorabilia from the future in her lair, like neon signs and movie star autographs.

Erica MZDM: Semi-random comment, but I don't think this need be strictly associated with anachronisms; It can just as easily be used with something that's new and unproven in the relevant time-frame - Elvis, automobiles, plastics, etc.

Unknown Troper: Fixed up an outdated Hercules reference.

Code Man 38: Regarding this item:

A recent telefilm about Charlies Angels features a scene where ABC's Fred Silverman doesn't approve of shows about people doing crazy stunts (Fear Factor) or sending in funny videos (America's Funniest Home Videos), before then approving Aaron Spelling's pitch for Charlie's Angels.

Personally, I'd like to replace the "Fear Factor" reference with something that was on ABC just for extra irony. Of course, whether it's "That's Incredible!", "Master of Champions", or the upcoming "Wipeout" is left up to the reader...

Madrugada: I cut that example completely — the shows are to far separated in time (Angels in 1976, AFV in 1989 and Fear Factor in 2001 and the latter two were first aired long after Silverman had left Network Management and was running his own production company.
