Kilyle: What about Howl's Moving Castle? Not an inn per se, and a private residence, yet most of the book takes place inside, and it does exist in multiple areas simultaneously (conceivably, one could arrange to stand in or atop the shop entrance and use a spyglass to actually see the walking castle at the same time). Also, most of the important characters come through here one or more times.
