Claire89: I don't see why the Danny Phantom example is in there. There is no explicit reference to the trope, and if we took all implied examples, we'd be nose-deep in irrelevant favorites that people want to stick in wherever possible.

Didn't even Professor Xavier say that in one of the X-Men movies ? Medinoc: Yes he did, in X3: The Last Stand. About messing with Jean Grey's mind.

William Wide Web: This seems related to this line from an SG-1 episode, after Carter gave the gate addresses to Ba'al, allowing him to reach the Grail planet "You had no way of knowing. Under the circumstances, You Did the Right Thing."

Morgan Wick: Have a look at what I did to the end of that line. We needed to have a reference to that on the page.

Lord Seth: Removed the "It is this editor's understanding that exactly when it is insincere is somewhat controversial, which is puzzling to me. Death Note actually has a very clear cut moral, but many fans apparently disagree." from the Death Note example. Word of God in How To Read 13 states that there is no moral message of any kind in Death Note. Also, why the heck is that bit even in spoilers?
