Peteman: Can I make a point of order: A subversion is when we're lead to believe the trope is in effect, when it isn't really. Are all the subversions a case when people are led to believe the trope is in effect when they end up not, or are they simply aversions, where no one assumes the wings are representative of alignment?
I remember Demon wings being the less well-kept ones in Good Omens. Never mind. I read the passage.
Wascally Wabnit: A subversion is when your favorite show plays a lame cliche with a perfectly straight face, but because its your show it must be defended at all costs. ;)
