Mister Six: Maybe this could be broadened to changing fads in magical 'science' - ie. electricity was used to bring Frankenstein to life, then in the 40s and 50s radiation was the big thing (Godzilla, 50 Foot Man etc), then it was various different types of radiation (gamma radiation for The Hulk and Spider-Man), then in in the 80s you had chemicals (Toxic Avenger, Ninja Turtles etc) and now it's genetic jiggery-pokery.
