Working Title: Gay Conservative
: I'm not sure what's the difference between the first and second Polemic items... it's basically "Gays might like the other Republican positions" and "Gays might not like the other Democratic positions", and aren't those basically the same thing?
- Sackett: First one is: gays might like conservative economic positions. Second one is: gays might like socially conservative positions on subjects other than gay rights. Differentiated because it's very uncommon for people to recognize that one socially liberal position (say on gay rights) does not necessarily means you have to be liberal on all other social issues (abortion for example).
Addy: I think the language needs an edit. Referring to people as "a gay" or "gays," using 'gay' as a noun, is more than a bit offensive to many gay people.
