Yeah, Half-Life has no cutscenes. Locking you in a box for a fixed length of time while something you can't interact with happens, maybe with a button to push that doesn't even do anything
while you wait, certainly isn't the same damn thing.
The only difference between the cutscenes in Half-Life and the ones in MGS are you're allowed to skip the ones in MGS. Being unable to progress because Story Is Happening Shhh is exactly the same as any other game's cutscenes.
