This trope's name changed under discussion here.
Silent Hunter: Excuse me, but what is Kabuki?
Looney Toons: Kabuki is a traditional Japanese theatre/dance style, known in the West for its graceful movements, stylized performances, and white mask-like makeup. I should probably write up a cultural note page for it, but until then you can find more information here and here.
Baofu: Do Sentai shows count for this trope?
Grev: I'm wondering if a line about Lucha Libre Professional Wrestling should be thrown out here. Although there it's less of a power as a matter of honor, and an embarrassment for the mask to come off.
Sean Tucker: How the hell is there not a pic of Char on this page?
Bob: I would assume that it is because there's already a good image for this page.
Shotgun Ninja: Speaking of which, where can I find the page that image is from? I remember it from before, but don't have it.
Oblivionhold: It's from an "Enemy of All Mankind" picture. Here's the full size version.◊
