From YKTTW:

Morgan Wick: What do Snoopy's doghouse, the TARDIS from Doctor Who, and (maybe) Dexters Lab all have in common? They are all much larger on the inside than seems apparent from the outside. I'm sure there are more examples.

Ununnilium: Yep. Also, the goldfish-bowl castle in Fairly Oddparents, and the secret base in Keroro Gunsou. Maybe something like Clown-Car Base?

Lightblade: Not to mention almost every building in almost every RPG. It's more a limitation of the game mechanics than a plot element for them. The first Legacy Of Kain game was like this for the most part but did have one location with an in-story explanation for it.

Ununnilium: Yes, but I wouldn't say it "counts" unless it's actually indentified as such.

BT The P: I like Clown-Car Base

Arrow: I moved the Extinction ref up. Resident Evil is originally a game series, yes, but Extinction is the third movie, so that note really shouldn't be under Video Games.

Peppermintsheep: What about Bender's closet in Futurama"?

Big T: Moved contested example here.

  • Puddle-jumpers in Stargate Atlantis (the small shuttlecraft-type ships that can fit through the Stargate) are very roomy on the inside, and a Stargate could almost fit inside one. Not explained by alien technology a la the TARDIS.
    • This editor disagrees. The Puddle-jumpers are slightly smaller than the gates themselves, and this seems to hold up on the inside.
      • Especially considering that they have built full scale models of them for use in filming with complete interior and exterior.
