Duckluck: Needs more examples. This probably should have bounded through YKTTW at some point. Hopefully the Wiki Magic will fix the problem though.
Unknown Troper: I think the problem is, this trope and Second Verse Curse were both spawned from the same YKTTW.
Scifantasy: I pulled the Star Trek example, because as explained on Forgotten Theme Tune Lyrics, that wasn't what you'd call bona fide.
Scifantasy: Also yanked "Battle Hymn." The first verse ("Mine eyes have seen the coming of the glory of the Lord") is recognizable enough that it falls under Second Verse Curse. And according to the Library of Congress
, the "three 'glory'" thing is bunk.
Prfnoff: Reprints of 1860s sheet music seem to show otherwise, but I'll let it be.
