Be: Question. As we know, Vesper turned out to be a double agent, which is saddening but fine. What I'm not sure about is at which point exactly she started working with Le Chiffre. M suggests to Bond that she gave up the money to save Bond's life, implying that she cut a deal while Bond was being tortured, but there are other things that suggest she was working with him from beginning. For example, during the first poker scene she comes from the wrong entrance and only ends up distracting Bond rather than Le Chiffre, and when Bond tells her that it was Mathis who told Le Chiffre Bond had figured out his tell, she appears surprised, implying it was her. Am I right in thinking this or not?

Crowley: Yes, that's what I thought, too.

jdreyfuss: Is the man whose Land Rover Bond wrecks in Nassau Auric Godlfinger? He looks like Gert Frobe, drives a gold car, wears golden clothes, and speaks with a German accent.
TsundeRay: Dammit! I was gonna wipe that unnecessary N**n G***sis E**ng**ion reference to atone for what I did on one of the SCP Foundation pages.
I didn't like this Bond. Perhaps it was more Bondlike than the Pierce Brosman ones, but in its attempt to subvert the series' tropes it also became very boring (notably the absence of the Important Car Chase, Spy and a Gentleman - he DID attend a high end function as not a Secret Service agent, but he didn't fit in with the rest of the group - and the Cool Gadgets). Also, the Texas Hold'Em part was unbearable. 5% of the movie lost to one guy explaining what was happening in a card game , but they cut out a discussion about evil?
