Whogus The Whatsler: Is it entirely fair to call Did Not Do the Research on the Iraq episode? If I recall correctly, the fact that the court case ought not to have been allowed in the first place was firmly addressed — Alan Shore pretty much talked his way around the matter until it wound up in court anyway, and ultimately the judge's ruling was a straight "the government's immune, so that's that". Since the real life limitations are brought up and even impact the plot, this seems much more like a Hand Wave than Did Not Do the Research.
