In Dumas's Three Musketeers, it was my understanding that d'Artagnan slept with Milady both times (as Comte de Wardes and as himself), and only after that confessed to her.
- We cannot say how long the night seemed to Milady, but d'Artagnan believed it to be hardly two hours...
