Scratches removed:

Scratches is more of a typical Gothic manor setting. Sure, it's isolated and there are no other characters around /in the game/, but it's still ostensibly set in "our" world and we know the other people are /there/, the MC just can't get to them because his car's broken down. It's not a world that's mysteriously empty of everyone but the main characters. tl;dr I completely don't see how this example fits.

  • I put it back because there is a mystery about why the manor is empty as something terrible happened to the owners of that mansion which fits the description of the trope, also by the standards described by the deleter then The Dig should not fit in here as its in set in our universe and we know Earth is "out there" its just the astronauts cannot reach it, but still "its there".
