Working Title: Basic Mystery Classes: From YKTTW
Kilyle: Is that "Howcatchem" also called a "Whydunit" or is that a different type of mystery? It's the one mentioned in one of the writing books I check out (forget which one), with the idea of "Trying to figure out who did it is boring; knowing who did it and trying to figure out why is exciting."
- Luc: My recommendation is to ask at Reverse Whodunnit Discussion. Although if you feel like making the "Whydunit" into a separate trope of its own, I wouldn't object to it being added here. (But you'd have to go through YKTTW first.)
