Madacaek: I un-Wall of Text-ed it somewhat. It's a bit too detailed in my opinion, should be shorter. But I haven't actually seen it, so I'm not sure what to cut.

Seth: I would help, but i quit this series really early. There is something about the systematic rape of children that puts me off. (Seriously, this series made me feel physically sick)

Gemmifer: Hey, you don't appreciate true art enough, you wimp.

Brigid: It's a pretty brutal show, but does deserve more attention than it gets. Would love to see what bubbles up in a Wild Mass Guessing page.

Roa: I was pretty sure that we only learn that the action is set in the distant future at the latest episode... And it's not famous enough to be considered as a case of You Should Know This Already or It Was His Sled, imho.

Mushylin: While watching NTHT, I always thought a very big aspect of the show is about how the six main characters each represent six different ways of coping with reality/war, as they all have very different approaches to their situations in Hellywood. (Ranging from various extremes, with Shu actively trying to change it, to Tabool who just gives up and embraces it.) Would it be okay to add this to the page?

Priopraxis:To Roa:Really ? Because I figured it out from the title+the part of the description that says "dying desert planet" ...."early stages of nova".I haven't seen the series...I do have a question:The future people have time travel ? Raises some major Fridge Logic issues about how they have *any* problems, from where I'm sitting.

Earnest: I assumed it was a parallel universe or other planet. Personally, I think Hamdo just never gave using the transport system any thought, either in terms of tactics (teleport this squad behind the enemy!) or resources (Abelia, teleport a chamber full of water from that ridiculously wet planet you got Lala-Ru out of). That, or they had some horrendous limitation that made it impossible to use on their own planet, or was so resource expensive it was suicide.

GDwarf: Indeed, I believe it's stated early that the transporter tech is incredibly resource-intensive to use. One assumes that they could manufacture water (By extracting hydrogen from somewhere-or-other, which is pretty energy intensive in-and-of itself.) at a greater efficiency, but that that would be insufficient to actually solve their problem.

CookiesP: You guys, the Bound System only has a very limited range; look closely and you'll see it generates a very precise, spherical bubble, and nothing outside of that bubble can be transported. The bubble itself appears to consist of a very bright, burning light, so any water they tried to bring back to Hellywood would probably dry up in transit. Also, there's evidence for both the parallel universe and the time-travel theory. In episode 2, Hamdo very clearly states (to Lala Ru) that the Bound System transports you to "other worlds," but in episode 13, he begs Abelia to send him to a "different point in time." The director wants to keep you guessing. Or he just doesn't want you to know. Or maybe the Bound System functions both ways. Who knows.
