Pavlov: I've read this page a dozen times but I still can't get Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri to index. It's on the same pages as Civilization, it's got the same indexes as Civ, but it just won't connect. Any ideas?

Fast Eddie: Evidently, some bug related to the apostrophe. I got it to index by dropping it.

Pavlov: And only a few minutes after I posted my request. Thanks for the fast fix but couldn't you have pretended like it was hard? ;-)

Lale: I just cannot get the list on Jane Austen to index. Does an index list need a minimum number of items?

lebrel: The page type has to be changed to "index" in the drop-down menu on the "edit page". This will make it no longer a "creator" page and IIRC will remove the "reviews" link.

Witch Hunter Robin: The drop-down menu disappeared. Makes it hard to follow the instructions: Setting the "This article describes:" selection to "an index" does that trick.

Lebrel: The page-type selector is now under the "Tools" drop-down menu at the left.

Memetics: "Indices" is the plural of "index," but the usage "indexes" is also listed in dictionaries and is becoming more widely used, probably because its pluralization is regular (add an "s" or "es" to pluralize) rather than irregular (change part of the root word to pluralize). I suggest we update the term here to the regular "indexes". [I'd have just edited it, but I'm sure someone would think it was an error and revert the change.] Or maybe I'm wasting too much time fretting about such a minor thing. Thoughts?

Fast Eddie: Just a matter of habit for whoever is editing. Both are legit. If it bugs you, change it. No big-ee.
