fleb: Notes to self: Solo takes the place of an Identical Stranger on the local football team; Sue tries to join, but is forced to do a Sweet Polly Oliver and embarrassingly becomes even more Squee'd-over than Solo. Cleo is caught up in a largely off-screen subplot vaguely alluded to as some kind of Serious Business cheerleading showdown. Avatar struggles to prove himself and join the team with a montage, and Fluffykins, of course, is surprisingly talented, giving a much-needed self esteem boost, soon to be crushed by the first television appearance of the Blakesville Behemoths. Nerdly... can be a sidekick, or something. Cf. Sports Story Tropes.

Mjb: I don't have fleb's vision. I used his name, but it also seemed appropriate to resurrect an old villain. AATAFOVS/Schooled resembled this in several ways.
fleb: Ahh, this is what happens when I keep almost-about-to-start-finishing-this for half a year and don't actually write anything down. I was going to include Oelc, who's still The Ghost, but re-using is good too. Now I have to see if I can fit in Sue and Solo's dueling Instant Fan Clubs and the Incredibly Lazy Pun-based The Tag. (And make my fanservice footnote make sense. Gratuitous locker room Shirtless Scene it is!)
