WebVideo Funny, Creative and PG-13 rated
Peanut Butter Gamer: Ah what can I say, I love his videos, his sense of humor and his Justin Bieber Haircut, but before I get into my own personal bias in favor of him lets look at his Pros and Cons.
PROS: Great sense of humor: He isn't afraid to let his humor slide in to his videos, despite it being Childish, he also isn't afraid of falling into Self-Deprication when needed Good Editing: His videos tend to be relatively short and to the point, while still being informational and showing Austin's personal style Nice Flow: Thanks to the editing this is quite obvious, but the videos never feel like they drag on one topic for longer than they should (Unless its PBG sucking at games, which is hilarious) and keep things simple for the viewers
CONS: Attention Deficit, Oooh.. Shiny!: While this isn't that big of a deal when telling a story in the middle of gameplay he tends to be distracted by random stuff which doesn't let him focus on the topic he's trying to take across
OVERALL: PBG is really funny and has a nice flow to it, even if soemtimes stutters a bit on his own words due to being easily distracted, which can come as annoying to some, also, his Rapid-Fire Comedy may come annoying to some, but on this YMMV, in the end I give him an 8/10
WebVideo PBG is Awesome! :D
Peanut Butter Gamer's video's are the most hilarious videos on the whole of the interwebs. Everytime he says a new one is coming soon I get so excited. I say his videos are always 10/10 and i love him and his work ^ u ^ ♥
WebVideo Entertaining Without 'Needing' To Yell
PBG is one of my favorite YouTubers to watch. He can be funny, entertaining and even instructional, without having to excessively yell or even curse like a sailor. Quite the contrary, he tries his best to not swear and this leads to neat little things like fumbuckets. Though, occasionally, he can slip up. But that generally occurs during big moments in Hardcore.
His reviews are entertaining, though he himself says it's not really a 'review'. He's just talking about a game he played and enjoyed, while making a few jokes during. And it's refreshing. He talks about the game, features of it, some things that were a little boring that could be improved upon, all while having no problem making fun of the game and - most of all - himself.
The Hardcore Series and other Let's Plays (that he has usually dubbed 'PBG sucks at') are entertaining. He's a little overhyper at times and suffers from some Attention Deficit... Ooh, Shiny!, but during hardcores, it can lead to some needed humor during more tragic or intense moments.
His tendency to make fun of himself never comes across as some gimmick he does to garner views or sympathy, PBG just honestly realizes his flaws and takes a few shots at himself. Like the repeated discussions of fans about whether he should or should not cut his hair (making him look like Shaggy, saying he misses his hair when cutting it) or even a heartfelt confession that he can't read properly, when stumbling over text.
He is definitely worth a watch. And with his series PB & Jeff, he now has a lighthearted series where he plays games with a friend, without the potential dark moments that the hardcore series can have.
And I know that, when I feel terrible and need something to pick me up, PBG and his videos are there and I can feel a bit better, watching his videos and maybe hear him comically reacting to something in a videogame.
