FanficRecs Wow, Just Wow
If the plot isn't part of my personal canon, the characterization is. It even got me to feel a little empathetic for SCOTT. Scott, of all people. The formatting got confusing, and sometimes the POV sections would get mislabeled or divided incorrectly, but if you can ignore that, you'll find a story with a lot of heart.
FanficRecs It Makes Me Hungry for More
I personally hate stories with glaring spellings errors and first person view, but the plot and characters make up for that, if not more. Everyone just feels so /human/. They're portrayed absolutely perfectly, each and every one of them, and they're all developed to where they're actually okay people (even Anne Maria).
The plotline is wonderful, and the actions that the characters take differ from that of the show, and done so much better. A good example would be Mike and Zoey's oh-so-strained relationship before Mike reveals to her about his disorder, and even after that, since she's still unsure of what to make of Mike. Also to where Scott doesn't do the blackmail-Mike thing as in the show, since Blaineley (who's apart of the fic, cohosting the in universe TDROTFM, and actually becoming a love interest for Chris) showed him that no, Mike was planning on telling Zoey anyway. So what does he do? Makes everyone doubt each other to where every friendship and relationship is strained, but he unintentionally causes these relations to strengthen once they're all starting to suspect Scott of foul play.
All in all, a great fic. Far from perfect in terms of spelling, but nearly so in terms of character development. A fic definitely worth reading.
