Despite what the main page says, the game series (at least not the localized first one) does not take place in Japan. Kyoko said that she used to live in that area, implying she does not by the events of that title.

Edited by eatmorepies Hide / Show RepliesThat's not what she's saying in that scene; she's saying she lived overseas, so coming back to a traditional Japanese style environment was refreshing for her.
The fact that the entire cast has Japanese names should have also tiped you off.
I'd prefer to transfer the former Darker and Edgier entry I once (mostly) wrote back to its former place. The progressively-worse nature of the entry is meant to underscore how the creators steadily retconned it in darker and darker directions, and it doesn't really fit under a completely-different trope as a result.
Hide / Show RepliesSince the first two games have official English releases, should the characters still be referred to by last name as they are in Japanese or should they be referred by first name? The character pages already have their titles under their English names (Ultimate X instead of Super High School Level X), and in my opinion it makes more sense to use their first names. But I figured it was better to put this here before making any editing choices. I ask this because some tropes refer to them by last name, while others do so by first name and some consistency should be put in place.
Hide / Show RepliesIf you go by the rules of the whole wiki, first name since this is an English-speaking wiki and in all "original VS official translation" debates official translations win. But at present nobody's really pushing it, so status quo can stay.
What in god's name happened for this franchise to get like 10 more subpages?
