Pre FaceHeelTurn, yes. The character may or may not double as the Lancer (or any other member of the FiveManBand, including TheHero is they\'re Dragoning for the BigGood), but essentially, they\'re primary objective plotwise is to do the fighting, dirty work, etc for TheHero or the BigGood. Other examples that immediately spring to mind for me are [[TheHero Kira Yamato]] to [[BigGood Lacus Clyne]] in GundamSeed and especially GundamSeedDestiny: she\'s the poltician, he\'s the BornLucky fighter, anyone trying to kill her absolutely \'\'has\'\' to go through him first, and so on. Rachel, from Animorphs, in addition to being TheBigGuy, also tends to do duty as [[TheHero Jake]]\'s Dragon: she\'s the toughest member of the team, he bounces ideas off [[TheLancer Marco and Tobias]] but uses her to do the killing, and entrusts her with the most dangerous missions etc. I\'m sure I could think of more examples if I thought about it. Essentially we\'re talking about a character who, from the villainous side, looks like TheHero\'s Dragon. Would that be listed as TheDragon, put on a different trope sheet (that I\'ve just overlooked), just not common enough to merit a mention, or what? Thanks to everyone who\'s tried to help out so far, by the way, I appreciate it.
