See, I have always respected the character of Hazama/Terumi, mainly because he rely on his persona\\\'s to get the job done (The Hazama persona keeps people on his side and gains new \\\"allies\\\" and the Terumi persona dishes out the beatdowns, the trolling and the mind rape) Saying he goes into the world of Villain Sue is a bit much, considering his original enemy was practically a god and his constant opponent is literally carrying the apocalypse where his arm should be...he needed those power-ups to stay relevant in the plot. His greatest ability was the ability to observe the timelines, allowing him to steal his power at the one crucial moment it was available.

And if this sounds like what you are considering to be villain sue, then consider this: There exists one person who even he can\\\'t control/read properly. That person is Makoto Nanaya. She persists as a thorn in his side, a force he can\\\'t control, and quite literally almost fucked up his entire plan in the Wheel of Fortune timeline when she was thrown there by the cauldron. That\\\'s right, crazy perfect Terumi lost his shit and almost had his plan ruined when she showed up. And let\\\'s not forget Ragna gaining the Idea Engine. That moment when Terumi realized he couldn\\\'t control Ragna almost cost him his win again, as Relius had to break his body so Terumi could even pull off his plan because Ragna didn\\\'t. If Relius hadn\\\'t shown up, all that power would have been gone and Chronophantasma wouldn\\\'t have a reason to exist.(This is because Chronophantasma takes place after the destruction of the Master Unit Amaterasu, which was accomplished by Terumi releasing Kusanagi and stealing Takamagahara\\\'s power. If Terumi never did this, time would have kept on looping on that day, similar to how Noel had to be present as the calamity trigger to get time to stop looping on the day Ragna fought Nu-13. Thus, no Chronophantasma if Terumi didn\\\'t gain that power.)

In all honesty, Terumi suffers the same flaws that most villains tend to: He\\\'s overconfident, thinks he\\\'s two steps ahead, and thinks that he\\\'s nigh untouchable. At the same time however, he does things that most villains don\\\'t; he feeds off hatred, isn\\\'t above getting his hands dirty, and prefers toying with his opponents to provoke them. Hell, some things he never saw coming (Bang using Fu-Rin-Ka-Zan to escape him with both Carl and Taokaka, Ragna gaining the Idea Engine, Lambda\\\'s interference, Makoto invading a previous timeline), and he has to come up with an idea on the fly to tip the balance to his favor (Let Bang go and wait for Kusanagi to be finished, let Relius finish him off so he can invade Takamagahara, use Izayoi to distract Lambda for awhile, send Relius after Makoto to get her out of the equation). And note key characters in the story like Hakumen and Jubei aren\\\'t even at 100% when they challenge him (Hakumen being at about 20% of his power, which is enough to give Ragna a hard time and Terumi a bit of a workout, and Jubei being too injured to fight after confronting Phantom), so his \\\'plot armor\\\' only exists if those two at max power can\\\'t beat him, and by then Ragna would probably be on the same level as him because plot would dictate it to occur.

In addition, in response to how you say people voice how he\\\'s a shitty character, I have yet to see any people say that kind of thing anywhere it would be relevant (articles about the character, videos about the character, the wiki discussion pages). He\\\'s the kind of character that an author has fun writing the dialogue for, a character the voice actor can really become, and a character who\\\'s fun to play as (I actually was in a role play as Hazama/Terumi and had some of the most fun just coming up with things for him to do or say towards the other characters in the role play since I knew that his character design gave me a lot of options to work with in the story. Example: His opening moment was throwing a subordinate out of a window, seemingly killing him but in fact faking said subordinates death so he could work without suspicion later on down the road).

Hell, even his fighting style (Both Hazama and Terumi) focus on trolling the opponent. With Hazama, the player focuses on mind games to get the opponent to open up their defenses so he can deal some really flashy combos and damage, taking advantage of Ouroboros to confuse the opponent as to what his approach is (Look up Trollzama videos on Youtube, the dude literally spends his fights messing with the opponent). And with newcomer Terumi, the player focuses on using his drive which STEALS SUPER METER, literally the bane of any fighting game player ever, to power his own brutal distortion drives, of which he has more of than super moves. It emphasizes trolling the opponent for building meter, and the distortions themselves are pretty brutal, showing Terumi isn\\\'t playing around anymore.

But as for the Pantheon itself, it plays to Terumi\\\'s strengths. If everyone is annoyed by him, he is gaining power from every god there, thereby furthering his own existence. He boasts because that\\\'s what he does: he makes his opponents mad at him, makes them come at him with a desire to kill, because it only makes him stronger, thus making those boasts more believable. As for gods plotting his downfall, he does have his own allies in the Pantheon, in addition he also has other spots he\\\'s looking to usurp. He is a major player in many big groups within the Pantheon, and removing him could cause some destabilization of certain groups and individuals.

Overall, I don\\\'t believe he should be thrown to the Disgraces. I could see the fallen happening due to becoming too OP for his own good, but being a villain kind of ensures that he will lose at some point, despite being so OP.

Other key points:

1. Isn\\\'t perfectly planned for everything, but thinks he is (See Makoto\\\'s Story of CS:E)

2. Needs the power boost to stay relevant (See Ragna\\\'s Idea Engine, Hakumen and Jubei not at 100%, Noel learning to use her Mu-12 form, etc.)

3. Power boost ensures plot continues (No Power boost = no Chronophantasma, as time wouldn\\\'t have stopped looping)

4. Suffers the key flaws of most villains, but makes up for it with his own uniqueness (Surviving on the hatred of others is pretty unique)

5. Holds a lot of influence in the Pantheon (part of the GUAE, Trollkaiger, Council of Shadows)

6. Still is held pretty high by fans, as I can find no recorded evidence of people saying he\\\'s a shitty character

7. Elements of his character leak over into gameplay, making you feel like the character, something most villains don\\\'t get to experience (See play style and becoming the character)

Thus ends my opinion on the matter. Feel free to argue any points you see fit to, I have no intention of backing down from someone who challenges anything from one of my favorite fighting games out there, even something so trivial as \\\"Is the main villain a Mary Sue?\\\"

(Please note I am a big fan of Blazblue, and that I regard Terumi as the Number one in my Top 5 favorite villains, beating out Handsome Jack, Adachi, Kefka and the Meta. So yeah, I may have seemed biased, but I still believe in all points I\\\'ve made. Have a good day fellow discussion readers!)
