You do remember that \\\'\\\'Amaya\\\'\\\' was the one who taught Zuko how to avoid pulling at emotions right? \\\'\\\'\\\"Firebenders created flames with their chi. They never had a reason to keep some mental distance between their spirit\\\'s energies and the element they bent. Amaya had had to teach him that from scratch, like a particularly grumpy toddler.\\\"\\\'\\\'

So yes, people at the North \\\'\\\'do\\\'\\\' know. The Lituya Bay benders knew about it because it was part of their training.

Is anyone disappointed in Iroh? He seems insistant on setting Zuko up to fight his father, even planning on him going to the North Pole and \\\'\\\'abandoning his people\\\'\\\'. He says he knows Zuko but I have to wonder, does he? He certainly is ignoring the fact that while Zuko broke the ties of Fire (Loyalty) he hasn\\\'t done so for family.

Also, Iroh? \\\'\\\'\\\"There are things no human can ask, true. But Sozin\\\'s line wrought a grave injustice on the world, and Sozin\\\'s line must atone for that terrible wrong.\\\"\\\'\\\' You do remember that Sozin is your Grandfather and you\\\'re of his line right? So you have as much responsibility to atone as Zuko. Maybe more, given that while you spent your life furthering Sozin\\\'s work then manipulating people to try and make up for it, Zuko has actively worked to try and fix things in this life and in his past life. But I don\\\'t think the Spirits are counting what he did as Kuzon.
