Isn\'t Peacocks ending a rather happy one, despite everything? I mean, she had to kill her best friend, but it was too save her from the Skull Heart and she ended up saying goodbye to Marie one last time. Not to mention how she then annihilated the whole Medici Mafia with a grin and some well deserved punishment. I wouldn\'t call it a Downer Ending, more of a Bittersweet Ending.
