There are some people who feel taking advantage of certain misconceptions about atheism (such as requiring a belief in science and secular humanism) can be a useful way to get certain points across to non atheists and since atheists who these misconceptions don\'t apply don\'t refer to themselves as atheists, atheists should just use the assumed definition of atheism.
