Editing my first comment because it was lengthy and basically an achievement walkthrough. Basically, you can very easily do this in Chapter 2, Chamber 6, and you don\'t need a working turret to do it. That should sum it up.

You can actually just drop the turret on the Aerial Faith Plate. The easiest place to do this (and where I got the achievement) is in Chapter 2, Test Chamber 6 (the one with the creepy voices in Rattman\'s den). Just grab the defective turret when the load of rubbish comes through the first time you press the button, go back to the first Aerial Faith Plate, and drop it. You don\'t need a working turret.
