Why is this a villanous trope? Hell, the trope image is of a hero. It\\\'s most certainly NOT \\\"Beware the Nice Ones\\\", as anyone wiht half a brain can understand that nice does not equal silly.
Either this trope is very poorly named, or it\\\'s a morality neutral trope. Logic dictates the latter.
BewareTheNiceOnes is a neutral trope; heroes or villains can fit in it. This trope is named almost the same way.
And as we see with the trope image, there are definite good-guy examples of this trope. Luna from Harry Potter is possibly another example.
