Actually the drug related \\\"rant\\\" was there for a reason, which I admit needs to be specified to deal with more than drugs per se: something along the lines of \\\"do not admit to engaging in illegal activity,\\\" whether it\\\'s drugs, digital piracy, actual theft, or pretty much any other crime or violation of civil law.

The last thing this site needs is to be caught up in a police investigation of some sort or a legal case, and the best way around that is to encourage anyone who\\\'s referencing involvement in even the most petty illegal activities to at the very least use the \\\"SWIM\\\" or \\\"some people\\\" or find some other way to reference their activity without implicating themselves or especially other people, and not identifying themselves.

I think that\\\'s better than \\\"don\\\'t talk about illegal activities at all\\\" because of the following:
*What\\\'s illegal varies on location: [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking Someone over 18 sleeping with a 17 year old is legal in most of Japan, but is not in the US. Being a soldier in one country\\\'s military may mean being a war criminal in another country. Smoking pot is legal in some US states with a medical card and is completely legal in Amsterdam but is not in most of the US and in many other countries]]. And on it goes.
*Illegal activities can be interesting to hear about and if kept out of the boring/creepy zone, a legitimately interesting topic of discussion.
*Law is not morality and morality is not law. In some cases it is, but the morality of many \\\"illegal\\\" activities (aside from [[CompleteMonster things like pedophilia, rape, murder]]) is strictly {{YMMV}}.
*TV Tropes is not your lawyer or the Internet police.

So we need something like \\\"don\\\'t implicate yourself.\\\" IMO anyway.

I also think the \\\"creepy sex\\\" thing should be defined more clearly as \\\"personal sexual oversharing and attempts to contact others for sex.\\\"
