Well, the list above was a very honest attempt to explain exactly what autism actually means based on sum total experiences with myself, all the autistic I\\\'ve ever met in real life, and the experiences of the experts I\\\'ve talked to, and very much did take the \\\"good\\\" with the bad. Perfect little angel is hardly associated with epileptic seizures, general social stigma, and so on, and the just short of compulsive honesty tends to cause plenty of problems. Defining traits of autism include literalmindedness, lack of inward or outward filters, honest patterning, social rigidity, expressions that are misunderstood, inability with eye contact, uncontrolled emotional tics (visible if you would attempt to lie, unlike sociopaths who don\\\'t even twitch) and \\\"naive\\\"/emotionally retarded strong ethics. Meaning: Manipulative lying actually is extremely unnatural and offensive for most truly autistic.

If deeply ashamed about something you might try to change, avoid, or give a pretty obvious white lie about the subject, but risk blurting it out anyway, and it will probably be emotionally painful to some extent. It can be extremely uncomfortable when people start asking very personal questions and you can\\\'t avoid replying or don\\\'t know how to avoid them.

Basically, if you\\\'ve simply trained hard and efficiently to compensate for this, and don\\\'t use it in a malicious way then I suppose more power to you. However, if lying efficiently and in a manipulative fashion, without the slightest sign or pang of conscience, comes very naturally to you, then you\\\'re probably a misdiagnosed sociopath or more neurotypical person.

Still, I\\\'ve slowly begun to process that many supposed Aspergers don\\\'t really seem particularly autistic as such (the disorder is either very different from regular autism or horribly misdiagnosed, whereas I formerly thought that it was mostly the same) and that some severe calculating (also very divergent from the vast majority of autistic) sociopaths have been speculated to have both disorders, so basically my conclusion is that \\\"considerably less deceitful on average, but not necessarily with a moralistic take\\\" holds true for the \\\"just\\\" autistic rather than mixed cases.

As for the possible overfocus on sociopaths, it was inserted because many people actually \\\'\\\'\\\'do\\\'\\\'\\\' tend to mix up the two disorders a lot, including inserting any casual mass-murderer they could find here; and the many many misdiagnoses or HollywoodPsych don\\\'t help matters. However, I tried to help dispell media misunderstandings about the most common/general low-level sociopaths as \\\"evil and conscience deprived\\\" while I was at it. For example, my best friend in high-school was technically a low-level, and he was always nice and loyal to me. He works as a cook nowadays. Of course, then there are the bunkered-up, warfare, torture, and social-Darwinism ideology obsessed ridiculously extreme ones that you sometimes encounter online, and well, seriously, no solely autistic I\\\'ve ever met, or heard about from people who met them, has been remotely like that, quite the opposite, and generally TechnicalPacifist / MartialPacifist / TruePacifist WideEyedIdealist types, whether [[BreakTheCutie depressed]], oblivious, or more well-adjusted.

Regarding \\\"not playing by the rules of society, since it doesn\\\'t play by ours\\\", well I\\\'m neither a conformist or an anarchist, but I generally try to understand, and have an extremely strong aversion to actually hurting others, as do almost all other autistic afaIk. Basically it is \\\'\\\'\\\'wrong\\\'\\\'\\\' to hurt others beyond self-defence. Just because I am in pain it doesn\\\'t mean that anybody else should be \\\"just because\\\". At least somebody is happy, which is nice. If I find out that I\\\'ve thoughtlessly helped to cause damage I can have very bad conscience for years, and tried to make it up in some way if I can. Also, it\\\'s usually much better to go into academics and play within the system anyway.

However, if you\\\'re referring to a case of simple desperate survival, and doing the least bad option as a last resort then that\\\'s very different, and I obviously won\\\'t remotely start to moralise.
