I think the big difference is \\\"sort of.\\\" In the past, it just meant \\\"don\\\'t say \\\'fuck\\\' or \\\'cunt\\\' just for emphasis,\\\" whereas now it means \\\"don\\\'t say \\\'fuck\\\' or \\\'cunt\\\' unless you\\\'re on a page for an adult comic/sex trope/trope about foul language... oh, and don\\\'t say it just for emphasis there, either.\\\"

What\\\'s more, it\\\'s got something of an ArtifactTitle, since it used to be an ironic reference to the fact that we\\\'d edit pointless swearing out, but otherwise didn\\\'t really care all that much. Now we do.

(And by the way, you flagged \\\'\\\'101Dalmations\\\'\\\' because someone added the word \\\"shit\\\"? Why not just remove the word \\\"shit\\\"? Unless it was a quote from the live-action film, I can\\\'t see how it could have possibly been anything but pointless - and is that even harsh enough to trigger the filter?)

(Note: All fora are behind the curtain - it actually prompted me when I came here, since my cookie had run out recently - so I\\\'m not going to say things like \\\"the f-word.\\\")
