Except the Palace Guard are carrying halberds and crossbows - both of which would have been inappropriate in the 1780s, having been replaced by muskets and small swords for more than a century. Furthermore, the ships in the harbor are clearly of a galleon style, which would have been equally obsolete. I\'d say Anachronism Stew still applies.
