This was explicitly noted mostly due to this being a common war crime at the time that part of the BIBLE was written. For the record, I am a (bisexual) Charismatic Catholic and do not believe that anyone is perverted, being controlled by demons, or going to go to Hell because they are attracted to the same sex.
