Red Dwarf kind of went *through* the Fourth Wall in \\\"Back to Earth\\\" and then eventually turned it around into a gag that we the audience were the fictional characters and they were real.
Deep Space 9 sort of did it also in \\\'Far Beyond the Stars\\\' where \\\'Benny Russell\\\' was a real life 60s version of Ben Sisko only he was writing DS9. This vision was revisited in future episodes and the progress of his story followed the progress of DS9 itself.
Both are a little different though as they don\\\'t directly address the audience\\\'s universe but create a sort of fictional copy of it in addition to the one that already exists.
