The following ValuesDissonance entry originally generalised the whole of the West and Asia as if they\'re just two cultures. As the original entry seemed inspired by Japanese complaints, I reworded it as a US-Japan comparison, pointing out in my edit reason an example of one Western country that also regards gesticulating with eating implements to be bad table-manners (the UK). This was reverted back to the original generalisations without an edit reason, making it an Administrivia/EditWar.

My edit of the original entry:
** During the dinner scene in Volume 5, Ruby gestures and points at Ren with her chopsticks, which is considered rude in Japanese culture. Since chopsticks are primarily used in Japan rather than the US, US viewers would be less likely to see Ruby\\\'s mannerisms as a problem. While it can be justified due to Ruby being so naive and uncultured she thought a road trip across Anima would take a couple of weeks instead of months, it made the Japanese fandom wince and suggest that Rooster Teeth should have someone on their team who can educate them on table manners with chopsticks.

** A minor example of values dissonance is the dinner scene in Volume 5. Ruby was using chopsticks to gesture and point at Ren, which is considered rude in Asian cultures. Since chopsticks are primarily used in Asian settings, Western viewers would be less likely to see Ruby\\\'s mannerisms as a problem. While this is can be justified with how naive and uncultured Ruby can be, it was enough to make the Japanese fandom wince and suggest that Rooster Teeth should have someone on their team who can educate them on table manners with chopsticks.

The following entry was originally rewritten to remove the fact that it\'s basically doing a US-Japan comparison but conflating those two cultures with the whole of the West and the whole of Asia. When I made the original edit to stop generalising entire cultures I pointed out that in Britain (part of \'the West\'), Ruby\'s gesticulating would \'\'also\'\' be considered rude table manners, so it\'s clearly not ValuesDissonance to the whole of the West.

It\'s also obvious you have a pro-dannerys slant. As fair play it\'s not up to you or anyone else to decide what is or absolutely isn\'t. Hell I really didn\'t have a horse in the race. I am not anti Dany. Danny did plenty of brilliant and heart warming things. My only contention is giving undue credit. The honoring part seems incorrect and that\'s my issue. Maybe I\'m harsh or cynical but that\'s it.
