I edited the SVU article referring to a child sex tourism case in Canada. Because the PROTECT Act used to disprove it explicitly states that it\'s illegal for US Citizens and residents abroad to have sex with anyone under 16 not 18, but it\'s illegal to pay for sex with anyone under 18. Given the circumstances as presented however, it would have possibly been a violation of Canadian law...which would have still gone through a Federal court for extradition anyway, which I pointed out.
